Savory Marinated Olives
Olives are one of the best snacks. They are salty, fun to eat, and really easy to add delicious flavor to. There is a small grocery store around the corner from my house that sells yummy marinated olives. This pre-made snack actually inspired this recipe. Adding just a few fresh ingredients to these olives, and bam they are taken to the next level. I used to not give much attention to Manzanilla olives, but after using them in this recipe, I buy them every time I go to the grocery store. I hope you enjoy this delicious snack as much as I do!

Cuisine: Gluten-Free, Plant-Based, Vegan
- 1 cup pimiento stuffed manzanilla olives
- ⅛ cup green onion, minced
- ⅛ cup parsley, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon good olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- First, prepare your mise en place (mi ˑ zɑ̃ ˑ plas).
- Next strain your olives if they were in liquid and rinse them. This washes away some of the salt, as these olives tend to be quite salty. That is why this recipe does not call for additional salt.
- Add the olives and the rest of your ingredients to a small mixing bowl.
- Mix well, taste, and adjust seasoning if need.
- Pour into a serving dish and enjoy!
