Dollar Shave Club~ Buttery Lagoon

As a synchronized swimmer, there is a high chance whoever is hiring may want you to do something out-there ex: swim with sharks, perform a completely underwater show, swim in 50-degree water, perform with high heels on – things of this nature.  This opportunity fell into that category.  Last summer a few of us mermaids swam in a spot for Dollar Shave Club.

They were launching their new shave butter, and naturally needed gals who were comfortable swimming in cream.  My first question per usual was, ‘will the shave cream pool be warm?’.  They assured it would.  The pool was not actually filled with shave cream, it was a tasteless, odorless white liquid concoction someone came up with- genius!

Fast forward to more than 6 months later, the commercial has just aired.  It is fascinating and inspiring to see visions and ideas come to life, a true blessing to witness and participate.  Take a look at some BTS action below.  To see the full ‘Buttery Lagoon’ commercial, click here!

Paul was such a stud, I can’t tell you how many times he was flung into the air, and never complained once.

Also, PS, since filming I have set down my Venus and converted to DSC, I am a total fan.  For $1, why not give it a whirl?
