When Creative Collaboration Calls

Hallelujah

A few days after the new year I met up with my friend Adam and a couple others.  While Adam and I got to talking that afternoon I learned that he is a trained jazz singer.  He signs and performs all over the world!  I mentioned how I want to start swimming to live music because blending synchronized swimming with live acts is something that should happen more often.  We decided that night we were going to create the opportunity to perform together!

Fast forward 1 month, Adam text me asking if some friends and I wanted to collaborate on a performance for his birthday.  The party was at a Marrakesh themed house, and the theme 70’s disco.  Umm…yes!  A few of us gals from Aquabatix USA wrote a routine to Adam’s version of ‘Hallelujah‘.

The pool was sublime and the party was totally rockin’, for one night, we were the 70’s!  This was a spectacular manifestation that will go down in my books as one cool gig and an amazing time invested in collaborating with dear friends.  A reminder for me that I want to share; if there are dreams and ideas in you, don’t be afraid to speak them aloud, start to give them weight and energy.  You never know where chatting up a suspicion with a friend may lead you~ into a pool, a commercial, on a camel, swimming with sharks, jumping out of a plane!?  Who knows, The Universe and beyond is our only limit!

Here’s a little clip of the performance 🙂
